Pictures from family archive
‘Honeycombs and Horseshoe crabs’ (2019) started as I was thinking about my childhood. I dug into my father’s archive of family albums. The images represent choices he made, memories he wanted to keep. By placing these images in a present context, I use photography as a means to extend these memories. Through re-using his photographs by cropping, scanning and printing them, I bring these photographs back to life, and with it, my father’s view on the world through his photographic eye.
